Installation Guide

4-Step Assembly Overview

Simple, tool-free mechanical installation for leak-free, high-pressure PE connections.

01

Cut & Chamfer

Cut pipe square and chamfer the edge to prevent damaging the O-ring seal during insertion.

02

Loosen Nut

Unscrew blue nut by 3-4 turns without removing internal ring components from body.

03

Insert Pipe

Push pipe firmly into fitting through clinch ring until it hits internal stop socket.

04

Tighten Nut

Hand-tighten nut firmly (use strap wrench for Ø 63mm+). Connection is ready for pressure.

Got Questions?

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about UNITECH HDPE pipes, PP compression fittings, pressure ratings, and installation.

What pressure ratings (PN) are available for UNITECH fittings?

UNITECH PP compression fittings are available in PN10 (10 bar / 145 PSI) and PN16 (16 bar / 232 PSI) pressure classes at standard ambient water temperatures (20°C). PN10 is ideal for agricultural irrigation, while PN16 is designed for high-pressure municipal and industrial mains.

Do PP compression fittings require welding or specialized tools?

No. PP compression fittings are completely mechanical and tool-free for sizes up to 50mm. You simply insert the chamfered PE pipe and tighten the nut by hand. A standard strap wrench can be used for larger sizes (63mm to 110mm) to achieve optimal torque.

Are UNITECH PP fittings suitable for outdoor UV exposure?

Yes. All UNITECH polypropylene bodies and nuts are compounded with UV stabilizers (including high-grade carbon black additives) to prevent degradation, cracking, or loss of mechanical strength when installed above-ground under direct sunlight.

Can these fittings be disassembled and reused?

Yes. Unlike heat-fusion or glued joints, PP compression fittings can be easily unscrewed, relocated, and reused on new pipe layouts without damaging the fitting components or the pipe body.

What pipe materials are compatible with PP compression fittings?

They are engineered specifically to join Polyethylene pipes, including HDPE (PE100, PE80), LDPE, and MDPE lines. They are not recommended for rigid metallic or PVC/CPVC pipes.
